Moose Lodge 1310 St. Valentine's Day Dance, Dinner and Karaoke

Tonight starting at 6PM the Moose Lodge of Maine will have a Valentine's Day Dinner, Dance and Karaoke starting dinner at 6PM, DJ at 7:30PM tonight, February 12, 2011.

Members and Guests are welcome. A steak dinner will have a $7.00 charge, no obligation to purchase dinner. Cost of dinner goes to charities and other obligations the Moose Lodge of Scarborough participates in around the globe with the Fraternity, Loyal Order of the Moose.

Come on down tonight, Saturday at 6PM, bar opens at 10AM until close up to 1AM. The DJ kicks it up about 7:30 PM every Saturday night with dance, music and Karaoke. Come on down and prepare for the Moose Lodge Moose Idol Karaoke Contest starting March 12, 2011, one month from tonight.

Karaoke Contest at the Moose Lodge in Scarborough, Maine

The Moose Lodge (1310 & Chapter 1971) in Scarborough, ME would like to invite you to our fun karaoke contest called Moose Idol starting on March 12, 2011. From 8PM - 10PM contestants will compete to get points from three appointed judges every Saturday for 8 weeks. Those not wishing to compete but enjoy singing karaoke opportunities before, in between and after contestants will be given opportunities each Saturday.

First, second and third place prizes will be awarded and to be determined at a later date. Consolation prizes will be awarded to 4th and 5th place as well to other random contestants competing each week.

Points will be given to each contestant each week by three appointed judges . On any given Saturday you could reach a total of 30 points, each judge awarding you 10 points each for that Saturday nights performance. Each of the three judges will award a score of 1-10 to each contestant, one performance for grading each. Each Saturday thereafter a contestant can sing karaoke again to three new judges, even sing the same song as the week prior, and they will again get points for their performance.

As the karaoke contest and good fun rolls on each Saturday night from 8PM to 10PM, a points sheet will show who leads in the contest dating back to week 1. A list will be updated and available for viewing in the social quarters of the Moose Lodge each week

On week 7, April 23, 2011, that Saturday night Karaoke performances will be narrowed down to the top ten contestants with the most points coming into the final two weeks.

*Note: A contestant who comes each week and performs for points in the contest will have a better chance making it to the final ten of week 7 then a contestant who only shows once or twice and gets a perfect score.

Week 8 will be the final week of the Moose Idol Karaoke Contest. The top 5 contestants with the most points accumulated will compete for the top three prizes to be announced, as well as consolation prizes for 4th and 5th place winners. As stated above, other contestants have the possibility to receive prizes throughout the competition.

Regular scheduled karaoke fun is taking place every Saturday night at the Moose Lodge, come on down and be our guest.

Maine Moose Lodge: What is the Moose Lodge?


Many guests ask the question, "What is the Moose Lodge?" Simply, The Moose is a Family Fraternity, an international organization of men and women who are dedicated to caring for the young and old, bringing communities closer together and celebrating life.

The Maine Moose lodge is the only Moose Lodge in Maine, although the Family Fraternity spreads across international waters, worldwide. The lodge has dedicated members, mostly volunteer officers, managers and administration, women and men who are committed to its success. (Google Mapped View Here).



What is available at the Maine Moose Lodge, Scarborough?

The lodge social quarters includes several televisions, including flat screens, cable TV and Wi-Fi service, a pool table, dart boards for soft tip and steel tip darts, tables and seating areas, a full length bar and bar area lined with newly purchased comfortable bar stools, bar in Scarborough, Maine with a new juke box that plays old to newly released music selections downloaded right into our jukebox and a brand new game machine Recently added for entertainment to use with the large TV in the banquet room area is a Wii with multiple games and four devices for multiple players. Clean facilities for men and ladies room are available.

Does the Maine Lodge have Trailer and Camper Hook-ups Available?

Many seasonal visitors, vacationing in Maine, members of other Moose Lodges around the country, stop over at the Moose Lodge in Maine, members on vacation from other parts of the country travelling with campers and trailers. We do have plug-in and water services for our welcome members.

Do you have pull-tab Machines at the Moose Lodge in Maine?

Two pull-tab machines are available for play, 4 games running at most times. You may open tabs on tickets taking a chance of winning anywhere from $1.00 to $300.00 on any given ticket, with possibilities of winning several winning tickets on your ticket purchase amounts or none. Our lodge in Maine usually has at least one to two games where members only can buy two tickets for one dollar, and one to two games where members only can purchase one ticket for one dollar.

Example: If you decide to play $60.00, the lodge limit on each turn at each one of the games being played, each ticket has the chance of being a $1 winner, $2 winner, etc,,, including $20, $25, $50, $75, $100, $150, $200, $250 and or a $300 winner, depending on the game loaded, including no winners. It is a game of chance and nobody knows where the winners are. Again, you must be a member to play the pull-tab ticket games.

Smoking Allowed

2011, currently members are allowed to smoke at the Moose lodge 1310, located in Scarborough, Maine at 19 Spring Street. The lodge is equipped with advanced smoke-eaters, new air conditioners and the lodge was remodeled as recent as 2010 with an enlarged social meeting area equipped with a fireplace.

The large banquet style addition added during remodeling is well equipped for minimal lease for parties in need of a local meeting room, function room, dinners, reception's, showers, birthday parties, weddings and more. The lodge remodel also added a large outside deck, added for socializing and the fenced in area allows for drinking and socializing on the deck for those wishing to be outside. Tables and chairs are available for outside seating.

Do you have to be a member of the Moose to enter the lodge?

Guests are welcome at the Moose Lodge in Maine, we do require a sign-in for guests. Certain areas of the lodge and available use of lodge items and functionalities are limited to members only, but it is the goal to make guests welcome who may decide to join in the family fraternity we are proud of and add to making a difference in others and our own lives.

How do I become a member of the Moose Lodge of Maine?

Currently persons wishing to become part of the Fraternity and WOTM in Maine you can stop into the lodge located at 19 Spring St., Scarborough, ME during the open hours of 10 AM to close and request an application and more information 7 days a week. A sponsor will be needed for your membership to be submitted for review.

The Cost of becoming a member of the Moose Lodge of Maine

The cost of the yearly membership of becoming a member of the Moose Lodge in Maine for men is $35 and $40 to become a Women of the Moose in, WTOM Maine. you may pick up an application at the Maine Moose Lodge or print one here directly from your computer and bring it with you to the lodge.
